Overall, book publishing is a 22 billion dollar industry, and even with the surge in self-publishing, eighty percent of the revenues still come from traditional publishing. Yet, the industry has seen much less innovation than other industries at the same time. Neither the traditional publishing nor self-publishing models support the goals and objectives of most authors.
We want to help authors be better partners with publishers and understand the metrics of success when they publish on their own.
In addition to our existing publishing and marketing services, we're launching a new hybrid publishing solution that allows authors to both test the market for their book and grow their audience at the same time by starting with a short ebook.
82 Stories is comprised of a virtual team of book lovers including founder Julie Trelstad, a 30-year publishing veteran in New York, Ali Battey our production manager in Kansas City, Lindsay Davis, our marketing specialist in Minneapolis, and ghostwriter Holly Hudson who is currently in London. We also work with dozens of editors, marketers, writers, and designers. We're looking forward to growing with your help!
