Project Description
AKM Publishing was created by AK and Mari. AK has been incarcerated since 2003 in a Texas prison. His vision of Tha Plugg Magazine was brought to life by his wife, Mari, who is the CEO of AKM Publishing. Tha Plugg Magazine has beven sold and distributed throughout the state and federal penitentiaries in the United States. Our publications are not only entertainment magazines, they are inspirational stories of ex-felons who came home and now run successful businesses.
There are 2 million people incarcerated in the United States. Sadly, we are the world's leader in mass incarceration. We have over 36,000 subscribers in over 30 states.
We need funds to get staff writers, graphic designers, editors and transcribers. Funds to increase printing production and book publishing.
We plan on helping inmates publish their books, we get so many mail askins for help. A lot of talent that needs to be exposed to the world.

Family can order magazines on our website at AKMPublishing.com. Inmates can send a money order from their commissary account payable to AKM Publishing LLC.
