Chia-Lin Simmons is the CEO / Co-Founder of MyPinwheel, a smart parent assistant company that combines mobile, big data and AI to help families manage daily parenting and emotional intelligence development for children. She is also the Founder of #binderfullofwomenfounders, a mini-movement focused on helping female founders find and secure funding.
Before MyPinwheel, Chia-Lin was the Head of Global Partner Marketing for Google Play Music and the Google Play Store. During her tenure, she increased music trials, managed marketing for Play Gift Cards and launched new in-home, mobile, wireless and brand partners. She also worked on special projects in global territories such as Asia, Russia, and Latin America. Prior to joining Google, Chia-Lin was the VP of Marketing & Content for Harman International (NASDAQ: HAR) where she was responsible for global marketing, business development, content programming, product marketing, customer support and PR for the company's Connected Car business, Aha Radio.
Chia-Lin has held executive management roles at a number of public and venture backed technology companies, including VP of Marketing and General Manager of Playphone North America, VP of Strategic Alliances for Audible (an Amazon company), and roles at AOL / Time Warner, WIRED, CNET, Beyond.com, Newscorp, and other digital media brands.
Chia-Lin graduated Magna cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from U.C. San Diego and received her MBA from Cornell University, where she was a Park Leadership Fellow. She has a JD from George Mason University School of Law and is a licensed New York State attorney.
