Visionary. Speaker. Bible Teacher
We were created for community. When I was incarcerated 10 years ago I noticed how the prison culture greatly differed from the mainstream culture in society. I envision a safe & welcoming community for female ex-offenders in Maryland because, well, one does not exist. Who am I? I am a woman of God that is dearly in love with Jesus. I share my faith here because it would be deceptive and down right hypocritical not to. I know I might lose backers and might incur persecution for openly expressing my love for Jesus but I gotta tell it. See when I was in prison no one else with pure motives was there for me, but Jesus was. When I'd rather chase drugs than dreams Jesus was there so when He was looking for a representative in the earth I said "here I am Lord!"
Since my release from prison I have, by the grace of God been blessed to parent a severely Autistic son. He is so special, he teaches me the truth about love daily. My marriage didn't survive the tumultuous storms of life; however, my faith did. Why am I telling you all this? Well, if I can't be real about who I am and what I've been through then I stop being who I am and that's not going to happen again. See my suffering is on assignment. My suffering is actually the credentials I need to assist the myriad of women in presently suffering in the community.
