Kris Harrington began her design career in 2014 after graduating from the Menswear Design program at the Fashion Institute of Technology. An FIT Foundation Scholarship recipient, her bespoke tuxedo from her graduate thesis titled, "Romantic Masculinity" was selected as one of the top 5 looks of the graduating class and exhibited in the museum at FIT. Throughout her career, she has work at notable labels such as Armani Exchange, Ermenegildo Zegna and DKNY.
She began designing custom looks for lesbian weddings out of her studio apartment in 2016 after being commissioned by a friend to take her on as a client. Her work has since been featured in the NY Times & New York Magazine Weddings. She is launching her eponymous collection of gender neutral eveningwear, KRIS HARRING, this Fall 2017, implementing her passion for clean tailoring, innovative silhouette and fabric combinations with the mantra that "great clothing should be design for fit, not gender".
