Merry Beth Myrick Designs is a collection of hand-forged jewelry that is created to empower women by evoking positive emotions. I use raw cut stones to reflect the unfiltered feelings which flow through each of us. This process leads to self-discovery + realization allowing us to accept our true selves as well as our imperfections. My materials are sourced in America and those that can't be are sourced ethically.
I'm a self-taught metalsmith and have been honing my craft for eleven years. Hard work and a strong, loyal clientele have allowed me to be a full time jewelry designer for the past six years. I've kept Merry Beth Myrick Designs small out of financial necessity and in the process have learned how to successfully run a business, where I want to take my business, and the steps to proficiently do so. My sales are mostly through custom design, word of mouth, local artisan festivals and pop-up markets, and having a strong social media presence. I want to evolve, but have reached a business plateau. So, writing a new business plan seemed like the most logical next step ( I reached the goals of my last one last year ).
I am asking iFundWomen to help with the capital it will take to get Merry Beth Myrick Designs in front of store owners and buyers at high-end accessory shows, such as the American Craft Council shows. It will help pay for booth rentals and travel expenses associated with the shows, as well as trunk shows where I can meet clients in person. The funds will allow me to purchase the materials needed to design a cohesive collection, create line sheets, hire models and photographers for a professional catalog, get a savvy PR master on board to get my name out there, my story into more publications, and create more awareness about American sourcing.
Thank you for
