Renee’s passion for playing basketball started in Staten Island, New York, where she played in middle school and high school. Upon graduation from high school, Renee went on to play Division 1 basketball at Cheyney State University. The highlight of Renee’s career was playing NATO Basketball for the United States Navy. Because of the love Renee has for game, it was easy for her to make the transition to being the Owner of the Music City Icons Semi Professional Women’s Basketball Team.
Renee Bobb is an authority in the field of career empowerment and small business development. As the CEO of R.B.I. Enterprise Empowerment Training and Development Firm, Renee facilitates a variety of training classes, including Financial Empowerment: A Practical Approach to Getting Your Financial Household in Order. She also teaches a class called Shifting Gears from Employee to Entrepreneur, in which she focuses on equipping and empowering people to start and expand their own businesses.
Renee is the winner of the 2015 Nashville Business Journal Veteran of the Year Award and the 2012 Tennessee Titan Quarterback Volunteer of the Year Award. In 2005, Renee won the Small Business Administration, Virginia Women in Business Champion of the Year Award.
Renee is an alumni of Norfolk State University and she holds Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus in Business Administration, Social Work, and Marketing. She is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated.
Currently, Renee serves on the Board of Directors for Safe Haven Family Shelter and is a founding Board of Advisor member for Pathway Women’s Business Center.
