Boxy is a platform that allows city residents and the real estate community to monetize and share their underutilized space as a storage space for college students. Since August 2022, Boxy had pilot launched twice and received more than 50 plus sign-ups and in addition to finding more than 2000 sqft of hosting space within the Boston college community, and made a small revenue with $0 spent in marketing. As we are publicly launching in April, we are looking to test out our pick-up and drop-off service by partnering with TaskRabbit and providing boxy branded packing supplies to enhance the convenience that we promise to provide for our customers.
By year 3, we want to expand to universities across the US and distinguish ourselves in the market by using gen-z and college community powered based social media marketing strategy and execution aim to be known as the storage platform that empowers students to make the most out of their college career whether that is leaving home for study abroad or getting an out of state internship because stressing out on storage is on Boxy.
Hannah Ung, Founder & CEO, is graduating this May with a Brand Management degree from Northeastern University and who has traveled to 20-plus countries, she knows what it takes to create a storage brand that wins college students’ hearts. Boxy aims to bring both a physical storage and community that empowers them to study abroad and travel at least once during their college career. Traveling abroad during college is truly life-changing and the first trip she took to Japan solo at the age of 18 brought her the focus and dedication to found Boxy so students like her could be stress-free about finding a community-based nearby, affordable, convenient storage service while being excited for their adventure abroad.
Your generosity will directly turn the mission of Boxy into a reality starting with one college community and one box at a time!
