Project Description

  • What is the product

Zanger® Home and Ranch Security system
Status: Filed for a patent. The concept and technical solutions have been evaluated by an
independent, reputable engineering firm and the project was determined to be viable.
Description: Zanger® system creates a protected dome around and above the secure area. It is an Artificial Intelligence driven system that detects, evaluates, defers, reports and records any unauthorized entry into the protected area, including by any unmanned flying apparatus (drones) or any other remote-controlled device.
It is affordable, installation, setup, control and operation are effortless.

  • Problems solved

In 2020, the FAA reported that there were about 7 million drones in the United States alone. Of
them approximately 90% were for hobbyists and 10% were for commercial drones. However,
the prevalence of drones cannot be denied – a majority 59% of American population witnessed
a drone in flight. The drone use is predicted to grow exponentially for the next 10 years.
Study after study conducted in the US and Europe show deepening concern over privacy
infringement by drones. What do all these findings tell us? Generally, people do not like to be
watched. They particularly do not like to be video-taped secretly from the sky. And they really
do not like being targeted for their ethnicity, neighborhood choices, or political affiliations.
Zanger® Home and Ranch Security system will detect, defer and disable drones hovering over
the protected area.

  • Solutions offered

Below is a short description of Operation and Features:
The base system consists of the main control unit (CU) and a sensor unit (SU). Plug in the CU into an
electric outlet. Activate the unit by pressing the power button. Activate SU by pressing the power button located on the side of the unit.
The active CU searches for a control device (phone, tablet, or computer) to connect with. Once it detects your device, press “Accept” on the device and download the application program. Pick a user name and password. With the active SU in hand, walk, ride, or drive along the perimeter of the area you want to protect. Return to the start point. Select "Finish."
The outline of the protected area will appear on your screen. You will also see blinking dots
indicating the recommended placement sites for the unit(s). Your system is now armed.
Zanger ® has Face Recognition feature. The application will access photos on your device, and you will have options to mark everybody in the photos either “Safe” or “Unsafe”. The system will automatically record and classify any unrecognized person entering the protected area.
Zanger ® has Drone/ unmanned aerial vehicle protection feature. It is capable of detecting a drone hovering above the protected area.
Theft/tamper resistance feature. When a person approaching one of the sensor units is not recognized, Zanger® Security system will arm itself, and the indicator light on the device will turn red. It will deliver an electric shock when touched and send an alert signal. The units are incapable of connecting with a different Zanger® Security system unless the original User ID and Passwords are applied, meaning they can’t be used, if stolen.
Optional Equipment, including drone “jamming” device, 2-way speakers, security lights, stand-alone cameras, and sirens are available. These will seamlessly integrate into Zanger® Security system when turned on. You will be able to program this equipment by simply selecting features from a menu on your phone or computer.
Zanger® Home Security system’s Neighborhood Watch feature gives you the option of connecting with other Zanger® systems in your neighborhood, thereby providing a virtual security network for the entire area. A Zanger® owner will have the option to allow other users to upload the pictures stored in each other’s system, thus making neighborhoods safer.
When a person is identified as marked "unsafe," or is not recognized by the system enters the protected area, you will receive an alert. The cameras will start recording and storing the data. At this point you will have several options including “alert the police."
The system will triangulate the position of the drone and will send an alert along with the relevant information to the control unit. The system will automatically activate counter-measures. The system will detect and alert about the presence of any other remote-control operating machines, such as cars and boats, that may carry cameras and microphones.
Zanger® Home and Ranch Security system’s Safe Neighborhoods feature allows user to automatically receive pictures and relevant data of dangerous individuals from the local police station or other law enforcement agencies, as well as, from neighborhood watch websites.

  • Making money

We will develop and start marketing Zanger® system within 2 years. The finished product will consist of main control unit (CU) and one sensor unit (SU). Consumers will have a variety of plug-n-play optional equipment to choose from, including additional SU for better coverage and larger area, stand-alone video cameras, 2-way communication device, drone jamming device, sound alarm and security lights.
Exact cost analysis has not been done. However, considering the cost of similar equipment, also the fact that our system does not require a monthly subscription service, we are confident that at a minimum 400% profit margin our technology will be quite affordable in the USA and Canada, which are our initial main markets.

  • The Competition

There are a few products in the market that can be considered a competition to Zanger® Home and Ranch Security system. However, none of them has “drone jamming” capabilities. Most notable are Ring Door Bell and Simply Safe. These 2 products together have only a few of the capabilities that Zanger® Home and Ranch Security system has. On top of it, even though Zanger® Home and Ranch Security is a far more advanced system, it is much easier to setup and operate. Few years back, Ring Door Bell was bought by Amazon for about $1.8 Billion.

The Campaign FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. Is there a size limit for the protected area?

A. No. However, the distance between sensors have to be within 2 football fields. You need additonal sensors for wider coverage.

Q.  What is the price for the security system?

A. The base system will be offered for $500, with no monthly monitoring fees ever.

Q. When will Zanger be available to consumers?

A. We plan to have product rollout around 12/2022.
