Hi, my name is Dr. Seun Adigun, D.C. and I am a chiropractor and biomechanist. I am the founder and CEO of EXTRA Wellness Center, LLC which is an injury prevention and rehabilitation center geared towards taking an integrated approach to healthcare. It uses a model that is centered around the patient or athlete. Every single practitioner within EXTRA Wellness Center works in collaboration to ensure that we are achieving the best quality of life.

As a professional athlete I competed in both the summer and winter Olympics in the sports of track & field and bobsled, and I was plagued with injuries. I quickly realized while I was a track athlete that all my injuries could have been avoided or managed in a way that would have changed the trajectory of my career for the better. Too often we see young athletes disappointed by season ending injuries. Most of these cases are rooted in a lapse of communication between practitioners. In the EXTRA System, each practitioner uses their expertise to add value to the other – which ultimately leads to healthier athletes and more success.

At EXTRA Wellness Center we build the athlete from the inside out. We take a multidimensional approach that includes treatment to the body, mind, and spirit - focusing on the fundamentals first. We look at micro-nutrient blood panels that breakdown the persons vitamins, minerals, immune function and much more. I provide services such chiropractic treatment, soft tissue manual therapy, cupping, dry needling, and MLS laser therapy. I combine my unique expertise as an athlete, collegiate track & field coach, and credentialed biomechanist to administer different muscles tests and analyze results for treatment solutions. I take a deep dive into imbalances, gaits corrections, sports specific or activity specific mechanics, and areas where injuries have occurred in the past.

Most importantly, I partner with other practitioners and specialists who believe in the power of a team. As a team we handle strength and conditioning, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, Sports Pilates, yoga, nutrition, sports psychology, and other mindful health practices. The clientele at EXTRA Wellness Center are professional athletes, elite level athletes from college, high school and onward, the weekend warrior and fitness enthusiasts who understand the power of integrating treatment to the mind, body, spirit.

This crowdfunding campaign is the first step in establishing the brick and mortar that will be Phase One of EXTRA Wellness Center. It will enable the EXTRA System to operate successfully in a central location. I’m sharing this across the globe to encourage everyone to join me on this mission to continue elevating sports medicine. Together we can empower the next generation of athletes and active individuals with the tools to increase the success of their career and their quality of life.
