Wheelchair Accessible Transportation
Help us raise funds to allow us to reach our goal of purchasing a wheelchair van, allowing us to expand our services to all!
Project Description
- Did you know that it's estimated 1 out of every 68 children are diagnosed with autism? Once receiving a diagnosis it can be very challenging for families to find qualified staff to help provide care and teach these individuals skills that are needed to further their independence.
- BILT, Inc. pays their qualified, educated, and trained employees a higher pay rate that reflects the important work they do. What makes BILT different from other companies is that we hire, train, schedule, and evaluate staff, taking that stressful job away from the families. We work cohesively with families, creating a plan to help individuals with the services that will allow them to be as independent as possible.
- BILT, Inc. is a women owned nonprofit that specializes in creating flexible person centered plans to help the participant achieve whatever goals they desire to reach. Some of the goals we frequently work on with participants is vocational/work skills, in home skills, hygiene skills, and an array of skills that help them to achieve a greater level of independence. We work with an array of individuals with physical and mental disabilities.
- We are seeking funds to purchase a wheelchair accessible van. This would allow us to expand our services to truly be able to work with people of all abilities, We will need around $50,000 in order to purchase the van and insurance.
- BILT, Inc. was founded by the president, Mary Cunningham, and CEO, Christina Gravina. Both women worked their way up through the years in various human service companies, working both in residential group homes and private family homes. BILT, Inc. was founded with the idea that in order to offer truly unique services, their needs to be a willingness to work with the family, and have qualified people to implement the services.
- Thank you for helping us achieve our dream to work with people of all abilities! Please feel free to reach out with any further questions.
