We need a Brick & Mortar Baby
Atlanta’s communities deserve access to healthy fast food meals made with quality ingredients and offered at an affordable price.
Project Description
Atlanta’s communities deserve access to healthy fast food meals made with quality ingredients and offered at an affordable price.
Right now many families are forced to choose between paying extra for nutritious meals and settling for affordable convenience food.
As an experienced chef Dianna Palmer has put a stop to this unhealthy compromise by recognising the modern family’s need for quality food
After a layoff from corporate America 11 yrs ago she pursued her passion for food preparation and enrolled in culinary school.
It’s Baked Baby is Dianna’s first venture created to provide a healthy alternative to comfort cravings and fast food convenienceGuests are treated to a unique ‘meal in a potato experience’ since the entire menu is built around this household stapleAs a familiar food and favorite for its filling nature, potato is a perfect base for healthy meals, offering lots of flexibility in terms of preparation and flavoring.
Since it was founded in 2019 It’s Baked Baby has grown from personal service to easy-access pop-up shops and, most recently, a part of the Uber Eats offering.
Following a warm reception from the local community and a period of steady growth, it’s time to move on to the next level.
The aim of this campaign is to raise extra funds to transition from a pop-up to a brick-and-mortar restaurant providing dine-in and carry out services.
It will be a family-friendly environment where customers can enjoy their meal sitting down opposed to just sitting in a car.
The new venture will represent Chef Palmer’s commitment to food that tastes good, serving healthy homemade meals and sourcing fresh ingredients locally.
Having this space would allow her to dedicate 100% to the business and become a full-time entrepreneur, something she has desired for years.
The goal of the campaign is to raise $10k which would be used to purchase the kitchen equipment, hire a local contractor to complete the build out and exemplify the brand identity.
It’s Baked Baby gathered an amazing community of supporters and fans from doing the pop-ups in the course of the past year. It was so much fun getting started and the team can’t wait to take this next HUGE step with the support of y’all. Thanks so
Our goal is to open the restaurant in early May. However, we are aware that many processes have been disrupted by COVID-19. With that in mind, potential risks to our opening timeline may include unexpected delays in licensing and inspections, shipping delays for equipment, and COVID related mandates.
