Updates on Your Impact
Hello All!
Thank you for being among the first community and family members to contribute to our crowdfunding campaign.
We know that with a looming recession, inflation, and recovering from the impacts of COVID has kept us all in a bit of a tight spot financially. This is why I am so grateful for your contributions, your belief in my vision, and your support. It truly means a lot!
I want to give some updates on what we have been able to do put into motion with our contributions:
- We have just onboarded a new team member this past Monday (Nov. 7th)!! K.Short will be our newest community outreach and communications director, as well as assisting our space manager Elisa, with the day-to-day of member relations. I met K.Short for the first time early in the year, and we've always come back to talks of her being a part of the organization, we just didn't know when or how. And we have manifested that with your help!
- Onboarding a new team member also requires upgrades of software. We are upgrading scheduling software and project management software to reflect an increase of "seats/users". Streamlined software has a high price tag and we are happy to get this support.
- We have hired a copywriter to help us with the development of an educational PDF, "How To Monetize Your Creativity" as one of the first offerings and resources to be added to our virtual community. It is over 10 pages packed with tips, ideas, resources, and more on how to scale up as a creative business owner. It will also be distributed to contributors at the $10 level. This will also be leveraged as an offering to those who show interest in the #StartHere Creative Arts Business Fellowship.
- We've begun our research looking into virtual platforms; currently looking into Disciple or Circle. We'll start doing some trials to determine which is right for us and our community.
