The Latest

Hello!

Here's the latest:

Grant Blvd’s crowdfund campaign is now 86% funded! Thank you so much to the 88 people who’ve set aside a few minutes to back this venture. Each of your contributions is appreciated and each will be used to support incarcerated and returning citizens through the manufacturing of clothing made with sustainability in mind. A truth: “According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, the annual cost of mass incarceration in the United States is $81 billion. But that figure addresses only the cost of operating prisons, jails, parole, and probation — leaving out policing and court costs, and costs paid by families to support incarcerated loved ones” (https://eji.org/news/mass-incarceration-costs-182-billion-annual). There’s work to do!

So, what are we doing right now? Well, in addition to joining the Philadelphia Reentry Coalition, this week we’ll be making our second book drop to Books Through Bars. This week's drop will include 40 books being donated on behalf of our backers. We’ve also begun filling and mailing reward orders. We're on track to complete filling reward orders by mid-October.That said, thank you for your continued support and just general good vibes.

Finally, we’re so close to meeting our funding goal! If you haven’t done so, please share our link with those you know. We’d love to have their support as well.
