Tubby's Taste Vegan Cookies

Tubby’s Taste is a Black woman-owned vegan cookie company located in Chicago, IL. Our cookies are vegan, made with organic, nut- and soy-free ingredients, boasting bold flavors, and each one tells a story inspired by our founder Tubby's Jamaican-American roots! Growing up in Miami, Tubby was surrounded by unique fruits, foods, and flavors and these unique experiences and traditions her family held inform the bold flavors we celebrate in our cookies today.

Let's face it. It's hard to find cookies that are made with quality ingredients, boasting bold and unique flavors yet taste homemade, that you don't have to make yourself. We have really delicious vegan, nut- and soy-free cookies that have customers coming back for more AND gifting to their loved ones!

With vegan and dairy alternative foods on the rise, people are looking to shift their diets and try new things. As more people sway more plant based, gifting vegan cookies that taste delicious is a win win. The vegan food market is expected to reach $31.4 billion by 2026. 

Our mission has always been about bringing people together through our cookies. Since we started to ship nationwide, we've been able to connect people who are otherwise apart, especially through the Covid-19 pandemic. We always love seeing that our cookie boxes are used as a way to say "I miss you," "I love you," "Great job," “I’m sorry,” or "Congratulations."  Whether it's a gift to a loved one, co-worker, or a customer’s treat for themselves, we love being a part of that!

"Why vegan? Well, one day a vegan friend of mine encouraged me to make a cookie that she could enjoy. I got to work with two stipulations in mind, it had to be vegan and it had to pass my taste test. Then Tubby's Taste was born!" -Danielle Tubbs, Founder and CEO of Tubby's Taste. 

After selling via e-commerce, farmers markets, and through catering and gifts, we’d like to start to bring Tubby’s Taste to more people through retail. This means new packaging, production costs, and distribution costs are involved. We’d also like to hire an additional kitchen helper in order to increase our production capacity. We've been able to donate a portion of sales from a specialty box towards a local non-profit that aids those affected by poverty and we plan to do more.  Although everyone who tries our cookies loves them, we’ve had limitations in the past due to lack of funds for taking on these sort of endeavors. We’d like to put our best foot forward and this funding would help us to do that! With your help we can go farther together!
