Why create the Transformative Coaching Fund?
Coaching is transformative but it is financially out of reach for some, especially Women of Colour (henceforth WOC).
What will the funds be used for?
- In Stage 1 (Feb - July 2021) your donation will support WOC who are seeking transformation through coaching but are unable to contribute to the full price of sessions or packages.
- The funds will also contribute to community events to further uplift WOC and running costs of TCF.
What's the vision?
- Support women of colour so finances are no longer a barrier to accessing coaching.
- Transform the UK life coaching industry to be inclusive and diverse.
- Spearhead a community approach (funding & events) to tackle systemic inequality.

Who is the Founder of the Transformative Coaching Fund?
Hi! I'm Joelle, a life coach from London, UK. I'm obsessed with empowering women of colour to build restful and centred lives by embracing all of themselves.

Do I have to donate in US Dollars?
Your donation will be in USD as iFundWomen is based in the US, but they're working on allowing funding to be displayed in other currencies. Please take into consideration the conversion rate if you operate in GBP, for example.
The funding goal in GBP is £1000.
How many people will the Transformative Coaching Fund support?
In Stage 1 (Feb - July 2021), the first coaching cohort will not begin until May 2021. This is to ensure there are enough funds in place to support them.
£500 will provide*:
- 4 x one-hour sessions
- 1 x 6-session package
*at current pricing at Joelle Phua Coaching.
The fund is also open to a select founding group of coaches & mental health providers through the TCF Hub. Their clients will be able to access funding on a case-by-case basis.
How will people be chosen for scholarships?
Applications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by myself (Joelle, the Founder) and the service provider the applicant is seeking the service from.
We will also produce an impact report at the end of every stage (6 months) to provide accountability and transparency on the progress of TCF and also the impact you've helped to create.
