Hi,
I'm Chef Taylor owner of Taylor-Made Kakes! Taylor-Made Kakes was started with a little curiosity, a spark of passion, and a lot of spunk. I began making cakes and confectionery desserts for friends and family nearly 10 years ago as a hobby and its has quickly turned into a thriving business. Over the years I have researched and watched those who were in the Pastry Arts field to discover how I can improve on my natural talent for cake design. Following getting my bachelors degree in Communication, I decided to take a big leap and apply to The International Culinary Center in California(ICC). I was accepted to the Professional Pastry Arts Chef Program and beyond grateful to attend such a prestigious institute where I could learn from some of the best in the business. Upon graduation from ICC, I quickly began to work on building my Taylor-Made Kakes website.
Why IFund Women, you may ask? Well after having an amazing turn around with my website sales i have decided to expand to a physical bakery to keep up with the demand. I am selling my decadent cupcake jars to raise funds to help make this dream a reality.

I will be specializing in my gourmet cupcake jars, cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and other pastries. Attending the ICC has allowed me to hone my skills and greatly expand my baking ability and culinary knowledge to include every aspect of the Pastry spectrum. I aim to to bring delicious and great tasting treats to the Augusta, GA area and one day worldwide.
I am crowdfunding so I can purchase a store-front, fill it with bakery supplies and equipment, order ingredients in bulk, and renovating the space. The funds raised here will allow me to make the down payment on my dream location.

Risks and challenges
The risks and challenges I face to get the bakery up and running are raising enough money to buy products at a bulk rate to keep cost as low as possible and getting a loan from the bank to pay for the build-out costs. However, raising money with this campaign will help me prove proof of concept to the lender.
The funds raised from the campaign will go towards the equipment needed to keep the bakery up and running (Mixers, Ovens, Tables, Coolers and much more).

More About Chef Taylor:
Taylor is a native of Conway SC and by way of the military she had the opportunity to call Clarksville TN, Augusta GA, and Honolulu home for several years thanks to her father being in the Army. She has a bachelor's degree in Communications with a minor in Public Relations from Augusta University in Augusta GA. She is a trained and certified Pastry Chef having received her certification from The International Culinary Center located in New York. Taylor volunteers in her community and has her own "Hugs For Hurricane Victims" Program that she started when she was just 10 years old and has since collected hundreds of bags filled with items for individuals affected by hurricane disasters.
