Project Description
- SUNgown is the only Nightgown that has real non-wired bust support. It is so comfortable and looks just like a fashionable sundress that it can be worn on any occasion. Day or night, home or away, you will not want to take it off.
- Women of large busts want support in their night wear and loungewear. The gowns that are advertised today with support just have an elastic band under the bust. Large busted women know these do nothing for holding up "the girls".
- The market opportunity has grown from my original vision. It was originally meant for plus sized women with larger busts. But my research over the past year has shown that this has increased. Women of smaller cup sizes, smaller dress sizes, ages from 20s on up, pregnant or nursing mommas, women with fluctuating sizes or non symmetrical sizes and even post mastectomy women, have all shown interest. Now that's just for sleeping.
- SUNgown is the ideal solution for women who don't want to wear a bra with their sundress, but needs that support, so now they dont have to. So SUNgown essentially replaces the typical Nightgown, sleep bra, sundress, and strapless bra.
- SUNgown uses spacer foam fabric which is a sturdy breathable foam that does not need under wire or boning to keep its form. Helping with the under-boob sweat issue is a bonus with this foam.
- We have also made sure to have pockets on the gown, and adjustable straps which are essential. *the actual length will be tea length (at or right below the knee), not like the video or pictures*
- The main portion of the funding is to go to production of the first run of SUNgowns and a little towards the second run. Because this will be a small order, it will cost more, but I will try to bring down the prices on the second run in the future. I have a seed loan of $3,000 left to pay back, and the other couple thousand will go to startup necessities.
- I have a support team that consists of my wonderful husband Paul, my children ( Meaghan, Brooklyn, Haylee, Sean, Paul James, and Brayden ). Above all, I have found my biggest support this year, has been God.
