Have you ever tried on a swimsuit for your dream vacation, only to be left disappointed and self-conscious because nothing fit right? Even if you tried on your size, did it still squeeze in ALL the wrong places? Me too! My name is Denise Foley, and I’m the founder of Sunset Vibes. I’m here to provide a solution for those dressing room moments we’ve all experienced.
Why It's So Hard to Find the Perfect Fitting Bathing Suit
Here’s why it’s so hard to find swimwear that actually fits. The biggest brands start their prototypes with a size small, and just add a bit more fabric for each size up, sized for women in their 20s. The end results are suits that cover, but don’t fit or feel comfortable. Sunset Vibes is here to disrupt the entire swimwear experience and end all those negative experiences we have all encountered in a dressing room.
Our Mission Is to Empower Women
My journey to launching Sunset Vibes Swimwear started because I was never able to find swimwear that I loved. If it supported, it was too matronly. If it was stylish, there was no support (hello shoulder and neck pain!). After years of searching for the perfect suit, I realized that my body type, and that of millions of other women, were being ignored by the swimwear industry and there was a lack of representation for swimwear that accommodated different ethnicities and age groups. I’m on a mission to change this. Sunset Vibes Swimwear wants to empower all women to feel their absolute best in a swimsuit without compromising on style.
Everyone Deserves the Right to Feel Confident in a Swimsuit, No Matter Their Shape or Size
Our why is to truly help women embrace their bodies and love their curves in the skin they’re in. How are we able to make the perfectly fitting suit? We spent two years in product development and fit-tested on various body types. We also adjusted the sizing to fully support a woman’s curves while remaining comfortable and stylish. My mother has been making patterns since the 1960s—she even developed Beyonce’s Homecoming and Superbowl patterns. Together, we vetted the best manufacturers to bring this vision to life and create a product that helps women feel confident. After all, our motto is #lovewhatyougot!
Why We Need Your Support
Sunset Vibes is on a mission to make a positive difference in women's lives. Exhibiting at trade shows like SwimCollective & Miami SwimWeek costs over $15,000 per show. Product testing, manufacturing and working with developers is very expensive. We’re self-funded and have invested all we have to get this far. We’re in multiple boutiques like Jenette’s Bras, and everyone who tries our suits loves them! We’re established in the business and we’re experiencing strong momentum. Now, Sunset Vibes needs your support to hire staff so we can continue to grow. We want to disrupt the swimwear industry and enable all women to feel their absolute best in a swimsuit. Launching a business and having a startup is the most challenging thing I’ve ever done. The number one motivator that kept me going through the adversity was that every woman who tried on my swimwear said the same thing: I’ve never felt so amazing in a bathing suit. Let’s change the swimwear industry together, and give that feeling of confidence and self-love to all women.
About The Founder, Denise
Denise spent 16 years working in Corporate America, overseeing campaigns and partnerships with the biggest brands in the world like Nestle, Levi’s and VISA to name a few. In 2019, she left the comfort of her corporate job and set out to create a product and movement to empower women. Today, she leverages her corporate acumen to bring a game-changing product to the world and to disrupt the swimwear industry.

Why Are We Crowdfunding?
Sunset Vibes has been selected out of 2500+ minority women entrepreneurs for making a positive difference! We are now raising funds to take our business to the next level. All funding from this campaign will be used to help pay for sales, marketing and advertising and help women embrace their bodies with swimwear created to provide the perfect fit.
Shipping
Shipping costs will vary on the reward that is purchased, for most US orders it will cost between $8-$12. For international orders it will range between $40-$50.
Sustainability
Sunset Vibes uses REPREVE material, this means that all our material is made using recycled water bottles! In fact, each suit has a special certification from REPREVE that 10-15 bottles were rescued from the oceans/landfills to go into the material for each full suit.
Sizing
Our sizing currently ranges from Size 4 - Size 22. Denise will be contacting you after the crowdfund ends to do a quick size assessment and make sure we get you the perfect size for your body! We fit tested on many different body types to make sure we can provide the perfect fit for you.

3% of our profits go back to the non-profit, Together Rising.
