When I became a licensed cosmetologist at the age of 21, I was determined to have my own salon suite versus working in a traditional salon setting. I had previously heard horror stories from other cosmetologist surrounding revenue splits, inflexible schedules, work-life balance and limited professional freedom.
Being a self-employed suite owner was great in the beginning. My clientele grew quickly and I found out even quicker how difficult it was wearing all the hats as a business owner while being a cosmetologist at the same time.
Another problem that I (and the other professionals) dealt with were the outdated methods of communication. Due to the lack of tech- adoption, Suite member-to- management communication required face to face interaction that was old fashioned, inconvenient and unmanageable
In comes my idea for SuLuxx Suites, a chain of beauty incubators that bridge the gap between beauty and business by providing resources and tools to help the professional work, brand and further their career.
And SuLuxx Simplify, a proprietary technology (available at all locations) that help streamline management-to-professional communication.
We aim to cultivate a community and network for our salon suite members that will help broaden their skillsets and target market.
