Project Description
- What is the mission of your company or project? Our mission at Sophisticated Mosaics is to integrate real estate into transitional housing, while actively and rapidly housing women that have became homeless due to trauma. We center on providing a safe, luxurious, and harmonious environment to support the healing and rehabilitation of our program participants. Offering digital training for job placement, empowerment and economic resources that will aid in participants success post exiting program. We also take pride in reunifying children who have been removed by Juvenile Courts through reunification services. We provide a curriculum for parents, including how to speak with workers, lawyers, having knowledge of resources, court and the child welfare system to ensure a positive reunification. Our program is committed to uplifting women with the necessary skills and attributes to become powerful assets in society.
- Describe the problem you are solving? We are providing transitional housing that directs program participants into rapid-rehousing which includes supportive permanent affordable housing for survivors of violent crimes and mental health illnesses. We also provide a structured environment that supports the reunification process for mothers seeking to reunifying with children removed by Juvenile courts.
- What is the market size/opportunity? serving a population of 61,000 of homeless individuals, a population of 100,000 of domestic violence victims, a population of 14,800 of sexual assault victims, a population of 37,253,956 of human trafficking victims, a population 20,445 of children in foster care.
- What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem? Providing transitional housing for homeless victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, women who suffer from Mental health illness, and reunifying mother with displaced children. Our solution is to direct participants to supportive permanent housing that will help individuals live a more stable, productive life.
- Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding? Seeking funding for marketing, advertisement, fundraising, office space, office supplies, and office furniture until the new project build is complete.
