The mission of Sister Girl Publishing LLC. is to provide children’s literature, Sister Girl apparel, Sister Girl children’s home furnishings, and educational tools that encourage, motivate and enlighten our children and communities.
Sister Girl Publishing was created November 16, 2016. It was created to provide early childhood literature and educational tools that encourage children to read, believe in their creative abilities and to be motivated to achieve their goals. There is a great need for books about African American girls believing in themselves by authors of African American descent. Sister Girl Publishing was established to give back to our community and offer a fun and educational avenue for children to imagine and explore the world. The books are engaging stories that help develop the reader and offer a true-life lesson. The main character learns that to achieve her goals she must be courageous and resilient. These are lessons that our children need to see and learn. Sister Girl Publishing wants children to read the books and to know that their goals are attainable with dedication and perseverance.
Sister Girl returns with Sister Girl and the Family Dinner, which illustrates the importance of family and the benefits of a family garden. The book include important themes like physical activity, outdoor time, healthy eating habits, and self-sufficient skills. The story shares the beauty of family, special moments, and memorable traditions. The book starts off by drawing you in with vibrant descriptions and learning about the family’s amazing garden. The garden contains a magnificent array of fresh vegetables and herbs where children can learn about healthy living and nutritional skills. It also inspires young readers to gain an appreciation for mother nature and family time.
The engaging book also introduces other family members, while Sister Girl goes through the day. Sister Girl and the Family Dinner can be read while relaxing, before dining, or as the family prepares for bed. Parents can ask their children to create new ways for the family to live and be healthier. The story encourages gardening, spending time with loved ones, and appreciating the simpler things in life.
With your assistance, I would love to bring this book out to the world. We are in the final illustration phase and need funding to bring the books to the final printing phase.

Nicole Fenner, Author and Creature
Nicole Natasha Fenner is a visionary and game changer. She has been given a strong calling, and uses her purpose to touch lives on a daily basis. Writing is her avenue to help young girls on their journey. She is equipping readers with hope, a voice, and inspiration with each page turn. The Mount Vernon, New York native is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University. Upon her completion of child psychology and educational and development courses she realized even more how important the early years of life are to children. Writing her first book was a labor of love, and connected her to her own childhood and time spent with her father.
Nicole Fenner has experience as an after-school tutor, life skills teacher assistant and student life counselor at a psycho-educational facility with youth that had social, psychological and behavioral issues. Nicole Fenner also worked one on one with children of age groups, ranging from elementary school to college. We have seen the correlation of children having high and low reading test scores and it stems back to if the child was exposed to resources that allowed the child to improve and accelerate in their reading abilities at an early age. With that in mind, we decided to create educational resources and make them available to the public.

When you pre-order the book for a child in your life, you will be joining a growing movement that’s committed to making 2 major goals happen:
- Help us to continue to combat literacy by expanding our collection of books in production. Our next books are Sister Girl and the Family Dinner, Sister Girl and the Class Election and The Sister Girl S.T.E.A.M series. The goal is to fully illustrate and format all the books.
- Help us to partner with local schools, libraries, nonprofits, and community organizations to donate 200+ Sister Girl books to children in low-income communities nationwide affected by COVID-19 school closures.
