The Singles Rant is an interview-style web series where single people share their experiences and opinions about love, dating and relationships. The debut episode “Why Are You Single? premiered on Youtube on November 13, 2015 and has received over 1K views to date. Since then, the very honest and witty cast members have ranted on topics such as: “Do All Men Cheat?”, Have You Ever Had a One Night Stand?”, and “Have You Ever Been a Side
The Singles Rant was created by Lana Adams and Lex Chappelle after a conversation in their Atlanta apartment about the challenges of dating. The two shared their many dating stories and knew they couldn’t be alone and that there had to be others with similar sentiments. With little money for production, Lana and Lex turned their living room into a set and invited some of their friends over to film the first season.
After many long nights of editing, computer shut-downs, and technical glitches, they were finally ready to release the show to the world. The show received an overwhelming amount of support from viewers and the duo soon realized that The Singles Rant was the type of show that was missing from the conventional web series genre. After filming half of the first season in Atlanta, the pair decided to take it back to their hometown of Philadelphia to get a different perspective. The Philadelphia cast proved to be just as entertaining as the Atlanta cast and Lana and Lex knew they were on to something great.
"We are ready to take this show to the next level," Lana says, "we know we've got something good!"
The two are now focused on gaining more viewership and raising money to produce season 4.
"We know there are a lot of single people who can relate to our show based on the feedback we get from viewers," Lex said. "We're ready to amp up our efforts so everyone is watching all over the world!"
Here's where you come in! We are raising money to cover production costs (lights, equipment rental, paying crew members, etc.) for Season 4 of The Singles Rant which will feature cast members from the DMV area. We also want to use some of the money to cover marketing costs so that we can distribute the show to a wider audience and reboot our website. We are just two girls with a big dream, and your donation will help us reach for the stars, and grab one to hold as our own.
