We are an exclusive fun experience for people to take photos and videos themselves, in 20+ designer sets with elaborate, artistic, interactive backgrounds to capture the perfect eye-catching photo to share on social media, Wall Décor, Greeting Cards, Invitations, Resumes, Websites, Ecommerce sites, Gift creations, Announcements and more! We have many services including event venues, parties, business marketing creations, tourist attraction events, party rentals, Holiday celebrations and more!

Selfie Glam was established to provide a safe, positive, affordable, activity to bring everyone together by being able to freely express themselves, inspire, encourage, make memories and capture those moments to last a lifetime! Everyone that comes to Selfie Glam always has fun and leaves with joyful memories which are also captured in photography, so the experience doesn't just end when their session does. We want to showcase how fabulous Richmond Virginia is by attracting tourist to increase revenue for Richmond and also help with other incredible Richmond businesses in our community so they too can grow! We have something for all ages and all diversities! 

Selfie Glam is located in Richmond, Virginia - in Short Pump. Short Pump is located in the strongest retail submarkets in Richmond Virginia.  This area has a very well developed commercial, shopping, entertainment development creating the ideal area to attract customers. It is also very close to many colleges and a top 10 tourist destination for the United States.  There are no other businesses similar to Selfie Glam within 125 miles. Furthermore, there is no other business that offers the number of diverse services appealing to locals, tourist and businesses. Also, the sets at Selfie Glam are handmade. Customers can create masterpieces in designs that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. 

Being a woman business owner has certainly brought on challenges of people and companies taking advantage of me and my funding. Women are the backbone to America. And so are small businesses.  They drive economic growth, create opportunities, and lead to financial stability for countless people. I am single mother of three children. I am the sole financial provider for myself and my three children. I have put everything I have into my business. I do not have and have never had a partner, family member or friend to rely on and help me build my life.  Covid has impacted our economy in so many ways and created extreme difficulty for small businesses to obtain funding, keep their funding and to stay open. Marketing has also been a difficult challenge. However, we just began a partnership with local Richmond Business like the Richmond Flying Squirrels Baseball Team, Buskey Cider, VisitRichmondVA.com, Richmond Family Magazine, WRIC8, NBC12, Trip Advisor, VA is for Lovers, Sugar Wish, Vinebox, RichmondVAGuide.com and more. This will create a greater exposure and build our business to allow us to create more jobs for our city. 

The funding assistance from you will be used for working capital for rent, payroll, operational costs, and marketing. I am the sole employee for my business. I am the set designer, set creator and installer, chief of marketing, operations manager, chief of finances, technology manager, event planner, studio session coordinator; every role it takes to operate a business. My children help with set design and installation, and studio coordinator when they can. But they are all still in school and education is their first job! Receiving funding would allow me to grow my operation and create more jobs. I can delegate task to other employees who can spend more time developing and utilizing their knowledge and skills to grow the business quickly. 

My future ideas for Selfie Glam, is to expand with more locations and to add more activities such as virtual reality game room, indoor putt-putt, escape room, and more fun activities. We will provide a safe positive activity while also giving back to the community and working with other small businesses.

I have put everything I have into my new business. I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. I have overcome incredible life traumas and obstacles and using those experiences and lessons to provide a safe, positive, fun, enjoyable and memorable experience for people. I have endured mental, physical, verbal, and sexual abuse throughout my childhood and as an adult. I have experienced harassment and assault in the workforce. I lost my job right after the Covid outbreak and struggled to find employment. I have had many health scares including spinal injury, cervical cancer and type II Diabetes. However, those experiences fueled my desire to make an impact, created a strong determination to succeed, and teach my children their reactions to how they overcome challenging situations and never give up is important in their growth as a person, and to always give back to others. It is my aspiration to demonstrate to my children and to others that if they work hard, are dedicated, ambitious and show kindness to others that they can make their dreams come true!
