Sauce Foods

Sauce is a woman-, Black-, and sister-owned company that offers fully-prepared, healthy comfort food that’s delivered fresh. Designed by co-founder Chef Jessica “Jess” Swift who is a classically-trained chef and registered dietitian, Sauce’s flavorful meals offer that warm, down-home feeling without the guilt. Chef Jess’s extensive experience in the culinary arts and nutritional sciences results in expertly-plated, nutritionally-balanced meals that are healthy without ever compromising taste.

Sauce is located in an underserved, food desert, in Washington, DC. Our goal is to open our communities eyes to healthy living through food. Our passion is helping people see that healthy food can taste great. We believe that TASTE is the best way to get people excited about nutrition.

Before the pandemic, we were amid construction on our first storefront and planning the complete rebrand of our company. Due to the financial hardships that accompanied covid-19, we were unable to fully execute our goals. Thankfully, we were able to open our storefront in June 2021. We are raising money to complete the rebranding efforts that we planned but were unable to accomplish due to the pandemic. This includes new packaging, new website, and marketing efforts.
