The Random Tea Room’s mission is to improve daily tea rituals. Our goal is to make quality international loose-leaf tea accessible, every day in our store, your home or work place.

The Random Tea Room’s monthly Tea Subscription Service and Refillable Tea Station Program conveniently delivers quality loose-leaf teas and accoutrements direct to customers at their home or workplace. Curated from our expansive collection of teas and herbal blends sourced from around the world, both the Tea Subscription Service and Refillable Tea Station Program includes well known staples as well as custom craft teas.
Monthly Tea Subscription – Designed for home delivery, this monthly subscription service includes 3 1-ounce selections of specially chosen and lovingly packaged loose-leaf teas, curating a tea drinking adventure
Refillable Tea Station – Ideal for businesses, restaurants, and caterers, the Refillable Tea Station includes 6 refillable tea tins, steeping bags, scoops, timer, and instructions stacked in an attractive minimal footprint tea station.
Random Tea Subscription Service – Market Opportunity
Based on our historical customer experience at our store (7,000+ unique customers since 2013), and our current Philadelphia centric focus, we estimate a 2019 market opportunity of 1,000 customers. As we continue to expand our reach into additional markets (including cyber), we envision a significant market opportunity expansion over the next several years.
Random Tea Subscription - Crowdfunding Campaign
While the Random Tea Room (founded in 2008) has an established cafe and retail brick & mortar location, we need to expand our business in a variety of dimensions to successfully launch the Tea Subscription Service and Refillable Tea Station programs. We have identified the following initiatives critical to our success:
Branding – Refresh of the Random Tea Room brand package, emphasizing our expanded capabilities and highlighting our depth of tea knowledge and focus on community
Packaging – Sustainable packaging containers in variety of sizes and specifically designed labels flexible to support the subscription programs
Execution – Website update including the configuration and launch of an online subscription service application and fulfillment platform
