A New Approach To Healthy Aging
For People Over 40
PrimeLife is a different kind of gym and wellness center. Based on the integrative health model, our mission is to provide an individualized approach that supports physical, mental, emotional and social needs of men and women over the age of 40.
Over 70% of people over age 40 have developed at least 1 chronic health condition. As we get into our 40s and beyond, most of us are over-worked, stressed and haven’t taken the time to care for ourselves. As a result, many of us are tired, gaining weight and just don’t have the energy we used to.
The Current Situation
Going to a gym where everyone around you is younger and in better shape can be discouraging. Most gyms are more focused on how you look than how healthy you are. The equipment and classes are often high-impact or bootcamp style and can be tough on aging bodies. The environment is often loud and competitive, which can be stressful and promote negative self-image.
Our goal is to empower our clients to become self-reliant for their own wellness through lifestyle education, health coaching and targeted physical movement classes and equipment. This means you will learn the right way to stay fit and healthy for you and your body. We will guide you toward a more customized and sustainable wellness program that meets your needs. All in a community of like-minded people that support each other.
Be Part of the Change
PrimeLife is all about building a community of people looking for a more sustainable way to stay healthy and active as we age. As an all-female run company, we chose the IFundWomen platform because they support female entrepreneurs. As you can imagine, opening a gym is an expensive undertaking. We have projected our start-up costs to be around $200,000. Our team has put in a substantial amount already, but we still need more to move forward. We are looking to our friends and family to help us meet our goal. The funds we raise will be used to secure our space, renovate and purchase equipment for our first location, which will be in Cary, North Carolina. We envision opening up PrimeLife gyms across the country to make this new approach accessible to everyone. Your money will also help spread our message further through PrimeWorks, our employee wellness program. Thank you for supporting our vision to create a healthier, happier gym experience!!
