Between a global pandemic and the ever-present reality of racial trauma in the country, there has never been a better time to reach out for the support we all so desperately need. Cultivate Counseling Services is preparing to answer that call. That’s right, ya girl is finally stepping into the realm of entrepreneurship and launching my own private counseling practice! Now, we know that in order to start a business there are a few key things necessary:
- A vision and a plan
- Hard work
- Dedication
- And last but certainly not least, money!!!!
I’m asking you to consider donating to the initial costs for Cultivate Counseling Services. Here’s how your donation will help:
- It will help with costs associated with becoming paneled with health insurance companies. This expands our accessibility to those who may not otherwise be able to afford therapy.
- It will help us provide a warm, inviting, and intentional space for clients and for training counselors. There is research that speaks to the importance of a calming aesthetic in the counseling room. Your contribution will allow us to furnish our office.
- It will enable us procure tools to continue to provide and enhance tele-therapy services.
Also, I want to pause here and mention, when you donate to CCS, you are not just investing in this black owned business, but you are investing in a number of others. I have been intentional to find and employ (and will continue to do so) other black small business owners to assist in the launch of CCS.
You guys, while I have the privilege of serving all different kinds of people, I cannot tell you how often clients express how impactful having a black therapist has been for them. Many of my clients would have never even come to the couch, had it not been for having a therapist that looks like them and can identify with their experience. This is why this is the perfect time for CCS to launch. I pray that you prayerfully consider a donation of any amount. When we all come together, little becomes much. I appreciate your consideration and whatever gift you choose to invest. Thank you for helping not only me launch this business, but our community at large by making mental health counseling just a bit more accessible.
