Project Description

Dispute Resolution Quote regarding underserved communities.

U.S. Justice System Deprives Underserved Communities to Equal Access:

The reality of “Equal Justice” in America for underserved and unserved communities is not realistic.  The legal system is not free of prejudice, genderism, and biases, which means there is a deprivation to equal access to a just judicial system.  In addition, the socioeconomic disadvantage of many in underserved communities do not have the financial resources to hire legal representation and pay for cost of court litigation fees to address many of their conflict concerns.

The best alternative resource for them to address their issues and resolve conflict is dispute resolution services. These services are cost-effective, time efficient, and a powerful tool in conflict management within the communities.  LEDRS specializes in providing services that will benefit these communities in a facilitative approach that will be able to expose to a first generation of people the understanding and the benefits of dispute resolution.

Mission & Purpose:

Liz Evonne Dispute Resolution Services, LLC (LEDRS) mission is to provide peaceful dispute resolutions and positive quality conflict management resources for all people including people of color, women, and the poor.  LEDRS is passionate about specializing in working with vulnerable and underserved communities that do not have access and/or funding to dispute resolution services.  LEDRS offers affordable, restorative, and diverse approaches of healing to conflict resolution.

Vision:

LEDRS seeks to be a primary resource for underserved individuals and communities in need of resolving dispute and conflict locally, regionally, and nationally.  LEDRS believes that individuals regardless of demographics and socioeconomic status should be given the opportunity and education to resolve their conflicts and disputes peacefully, inexpensively, and effectively.

The Campaign FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What States do you offer services? Services are offered online for primarily all U.S. States, but this is dependent upon the issues and on the comprehensive statewide ADR standards and local requirements of the desired area.  In-person the states of California and Texas are offered but it is still determinant on the circumstances of the states directive of covid-19.  Call us for this will be determined and discussed in every service inquiry.
  • How far will you travel for in-person and is it the same cost? This depends on the service and the conflict.  This is determined in every service inquiry.
  • How do you assist women going through or who have experienced domestic violence in Family Court? LEDRS specializes in high conflict dispute resolutions.  There are diverse approaches and processes that are utilized.  The approaches that are applied are quite different than the typical alternative dispute resolution process.  This means that safety, resources, and support systems are vital to ensure the process is productive for conflict resolution.  Due to high conflict dispute speciality, we understand that women who are survivors of abuse who have children will many times still have to deal with their abuser after escape because of child custody.  We assist with those issues.
