Our Mission
Paradise Estate is a social enterprise that provides affordable rental homes to qualified low-income families.
The Problem We're Solving
Homelessness has become an epidemic. All over American cities, people are living in cars, shelters and on the streets. The number one reason for this? The lack of affordable housing. Considering the skyrocketing cost of real estate, especially in large cities like my native New York and California, plus the statistic that 78% of Americans live paycheck-to-paycheck, it's easy for most people to fall into this dilemma.
While cities provide economic assistance through their housing program, the government does not have enough affordable houses. Families in need are left without homes and are subject to discriminatory housing practices. This resulted in a waitlist so long, it will take years to fill the need for affordable homes, while some families are waiting in unsafe conditions.

The Homeless Population
A reported 2.5 MILLION to 3.5 MILLION people are homeless in the U.S. The definition of homeless varies from state to state. This is the reason for such a big disparity between the numbers. There may be many more people unaccounted. Our goal is to help one family at a time.
Our Holistic Solution
Paradise Estate alleviates the issue of homelessness by purchasing, renovating and renting homes in low-income areas across the country. We work with the city’s housing program to match families with affordable housing solutions.
By collaborating with the city, we create a public-private partnership that ensure families on these waitlists can get access and move into homes faster and easier.

The sad reality is that 67% of homeless families are headed by single mothers. Majority of homeless women are displaced because of domestic violence.

Why Crowd Funding?
We explored many different paths to funding Paradise Estate; banks, Venture Capitalists, and investors. However, banks rarely lend to start-up businesses. Investors and Venture Capitalists require fast growth and high rates of return. Those forms of funding do not reflect our mission - we want to provide affordable homes.
We value people over profits
We are building Paradise Estate as a legacy. We are not building it to scale it and sell it. The iFundWomen platform is the only crowdfunding platform that can get the job done right. Funds secured through our crowdfunding campaign will be used to purchase additional homes + closing costs.

My name is Marcia Brown. I'm the fearless female behind the company. I've spent over a decade in corporate America learning strategic business models, but; I'm an entrepreneur at heart. It has alway been my passion to start a business that makes a social impact in people's lives. There is no bigger impact than giving a family a place to call home.
I wake up everyday with a passion knowing my job is working to help people in need. It's not always easy but it's always rewarding. I'm helping one family at a time.

Q: What does the housing authority do?
A: They screen low-income families for financial hardship and if qualified, they get a housing voucher that pays the rental on a house.
Q: What made you target people from the housing authority list specifically?
A: The waiting list is very long for families searching for larger unit homes such as three or 4 bedrooms. Most often they are discriminated against because of their socioeconomic status so it takes a long time for them to find homes.
Q: Do you work directly with the homeless population?
A: No, we a small company and do not have the resources to work directly with this population. The city has the resources so we leave this up to them. Once the families are screened that's when we connect them to houses.
Q: What type of homes do you typically buy?
A: We like to purchase 3 bedrooms 1 bath single family homes with driveways and backyard so families can enjoy all aspects of their living space.
