Re-imagining Fashion, Culture & Identity

At some point during childhood, I was led to believe that feminine women could not also be bold women. Osei en Rose was born out of my re-education-- the realization that we as women could be all. Osei en Rose is a luxury ready-to-wear women's clothing brand that celebrates diversity & representation in fashion. We pull our inspiration from across the Black diaspora to invite our wearers into the multifaceted identities within it. Osei en Rose is soft, feminine and bold. Through our designs we empower communities, uplift women, and pay homage to the ones who brought us into being. What began as my passion project has developed into my purpose through which I define myself and invite women across the globe to wear the world as I see it.

More Issues Than Vogue

Here's the problem: There are few luxury clothing brands that are owned and imagined by Black women. When seeking traditional luxury, we default to traditional major labels where:

1. The pricing is extremely expensive.
2. Sizing and fit are problematic.
3. The profits of these fashion houses are seldom re-invested into communities of color.

But We Came To Slay

Osei en Rose solves this problem by providing a solution that:

1. Offers quality, sustainable luxury apparel at moderate prices. 
2. Inclusive sizing that reflects women in the real world. 
3. Design elements with various cultural influences including American, African and Caribbean culture.

Goals, Goals, Goals

Like many businesses, Osei en Rose has experienced the aftershocks of the COVID-19 pandemic.  At the onset of the pandemic, Osei en Rose shifted production efforts from business as usual to community service efforts.  However, this setback is the setup for a stylish comeback!  Our goal is to always give our supporters the highest quality perks to show our appreciation for your support.  We are providing our funders with access to items crafted especially for our crowdfunding campaign. In addition, we are also excited to offer exclusive access to restocks of best sellers from our Ashanti Gold collection. The funds raised during this campaign will enable Osei en Rose to:

1. Resume production of our biannual collections.
2. Hire one to two staff members to aid with daily operations and sales.
3. Secure the services of a marketing/branding consulting agency.
4. Cover any pending overhead costs.

HERstory

My name is Andrea Osei and I am the founder of Osei en Rose. At the end of 2018, I made the decision to turn my side hustle into my main hustle.  After 10 years of working as a pharmacist, I took a leap of faith and began my full time career as a fashion designer.  The experience has been nothing short of a whirlwind.  In the span of just two years, Osei en Rose has been able to steadily expand our national customer base and gradually begin to tap into the international market. Osei en Rose was featured in Teen Vogue in March 2019 and recently featured on BET’s Future 40 list of top entrepreneurs, artists and changemakers in honor of the network’s 40th anniversary in April 2020.  With your support, Osei en Rose will be fully equipped to level up!
