Who Are We:

Alodia is a tech based organic hair care company that’s focused on personalizing product choices based on scalp health, unique hair type and styling preferences

Problem We Are Solving:

Over the years, we have spoken to 1000’s of women about the pain points that exists with their current hair regimens. We found that: 

Women with textured hair are overwhelmed and confused when picking products. They usually will buy products based on a suggestion from a friend, pretty packaging or the way the products smell. They spend about $1k/yr. on products, however only 10-15% of these products actually work for their hair type. These consumers are tired of wasting money on hair products and are desiring  a seamless, user friendly selection process, personalized for their hair type. 

In addition, a majority of people with textured hair types are  plagued by chronic scalp conditions such as psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis , eczema, traction alopecia . The  only option that they have is to go to a dermatologist pay $100s of dollars in out of pocket fees for a 15 min doctors visit,  only to receive prescribed medications  filled with toxic and harsh ingredients such as anti-fungal and steroids that can cause more harm than good.  They are desperate for a  natural alternative to prescribed medications that fits their budget.

Our Solution:

Alodia is passionate about tackling these problems head on. We are a tech based organic hair care company that’s focused on personalizing product choices based on scalp health, unique hair type and styling preferences. We do this by  providing customizable kits as well as virtual consultations with hair trichologists. We offer products that not only help with styling and moisturizing the strands but also heal chronic scalp conditions.

Why We Are in Need of Funding:

We are expanding our line to include products that help with the some of the leading causes of hair loss in texture hair, traction alopecia and CCCA. I am a PhD Medical Scientist and my co-founder/husband is an MD physician . For the new line of products, we  will utilize our expertise to create organic all natural products that nourish the scalp follicle and moisturize and strengthen the hair strands providing the perfect environment for healthy hair to grow!
