Meet OMandP
Odelia, Marie, and Patrice (OMandP) is a luxury self-care company that creates vegan, environment-conscious, and decadent beauty & interior decor products. Our mission is to provide an emotionally enhancing self-care experience through vegan natural skincare and home products that are plastic negative and fight against environmental erosion.
OMandP is more than just a skincare & design brand–we are a change agent organization seeking to create jobs for members of underserved communities and provide a voice to the voiceless by using our platform for advocacy.

We’ve Come a Long Way
OMandP was launched in 2018 in Orlando, Florida by Candace “Patrice” Parrish, Ph.D. The company is an expression of her decadent creations and homage to the generation of artisan’s and creatives in her family–Gladys “Odelia” (Grandmother) and Joyce “Marie” (Mother). Since 2018, we’ve expanded our offerings and even moved to Downtown, West Chester, Pennsylvania–where we opened our first Studio/Shop space. We’ve also received a grant from Beyonce & the NAACP in addition to national media coverage–Insider, PR News, & the Daily Local News. In 2021, OMandP launched a collaboration effort with Marqus Profic and family to create a handmade candle set to raise awareness on his story of being wrongfully convicted of murder and help document his journey to freedom. Our collaboration with Marqus was featured in Forbes and to-date we have raised over $1,000.00 for Marqus’ attorney fees. We have met and gained repeat customers, who are now our tribe members and our tribe continues to grow.

BUT, We Could Use Your Help!
One of the greatest challenges to growth for Black-Owned businesses, outside of discriminatory road blocks, is access to capital. To date, our founder Dr. Parrish, has predominantly supplied capital for the self-care company via bootstrapping–a combination of income & savings. These efforts have helped the company grow 200% in sales from 2020 to 2021. However, with increased sales comes an increased need for capital, employees/contractors, and evolved branding. Thus, we are launching this campaign to help meet our growing demands as a small business. Below are the various categories of business to which the money will be allocated:
• Studio Rental
• Hiring Part-Time Employees
• Hiring Contractors
• Hiring Interns/Junior Associates
• New + Updated Packaging (Retail Standard & Sustainable)
• Marketing | Advertising | Branding
• Product Photography & Videography
This is our first crowdfunding campaign & our chance to show the beauty industry that OMandP is a highly supported brand that deserves national presence! Your support on our first round of fundraising is highly appreciated!!! Over the next few years we will continue to raise capital for OMandP by pursuing grant funding, participating in business accelerators, and pursuing investor contribution.

Short-term & Long-term Crowdfunding Goals
Short-term Goal
Our immediate crowdfunding goal is to raise $60,000 toward the growth and sustainability of OMandP.
Long-term Goal
Our overarching crowdfunding goal is to raise $100,000. This would help OMandP secure a production warehouse space where we can create employment for underserved community members, oversee ethical production of our products, and expand the amount of products made–making us more proficient and competitive for placements in national retailers.
History of Black / African Americans in Skincare & Beauty
To date, African Americans have contributed immensely to the beauty and skincare industries but have been locked out of many opportunities to grow national brands or create community/generational wealth. During slavery, Africans and African Americans made soap and candles at large scale for the self-care industry and were barely compensated. Today, the industry they built actively lock-outs and reduces opportunities for their descendants. Crowdfunding moments, like this, are extremely important because they prove to beauty & skincare industries that there is a need and demand for Black & Minority-Owned brands.

We Deserve to Be Here
OMandP deserves to be a prominent brand within the skincare and beauty industry. The company is founded by Dr. Parrish, who has a lineage of ancestors who contributed to the beauty industry but were unable to attain national growth or recognition. Candace’s grandfather, David Brown, Sr., co-founded a Barbershop in Fayetteville, NC–which still operates today. Her Grandmother, Gladys “Odelia” Brown, was an award-winning sales associate for Avon (a skincare company) in Fayetteville, NC. Candace’s great-grandmother, Minnie Lucille Brown, was a soapmaker for her family & near community. Candace’s Mother, Joyce “Marie” Parrish formerly practiced as a nail technician and is still licensed today. The roots of beauty and skincare contributions of this company run deep and it is time for the well-deserved space and recognition for all of these individuals to be achieved via the progression of OMandP.
Our company growth pays tribute to generations of contributors to the skincare & beauty industries. We are tethered to the mission of honoring the past and actively organizing and creating a better, more sustainable, future for cosmetic industries.

What We Offer
Saving the planet has never felt or looked this good! Our products meet at the intersection of chic and vegan. We can be considered the Nordstrom of vegan products, where quality is beyond assured but decadence is not sacrificed.
We currently offer a range of products that fit within the categories of Luxury Body Care, Luxury Artisan Soap, Luxury Wooden Wick Candles, and Body Care Accessories. In the coming years we will expand our offerings to create more home and interior design essentials. This future expansion in the direction of home goods is merely us getting back to our roots. If you’ve been around long enough, you might know the first items sold at OMandP were Knot Pillows, Earrings, and Graphic Wall Art. :)

Where We’re Headed
National Retail Representation
OMandP is headed in the direction of growth whereby we will be ready to take a rightful place on the shelves of one or more national retailers. This will help spread the word and mission of OMandP, as well as generate more loyal fans of our decadent array of products.
Creating Our Own Production Space
Our future production and warehouse space will be a safe place for OMandP team members to work and grow the company. We will be able to create change via offering competitive jobs to members of underserved communities. The production space will also allow us to oversee the use of ethical materials and ingredients to maintain the integrity of our product creation process as it grows.
Plastic Negative Packaging
We are on a mission to (1) become plastic negative (no use of plastic materials) and (2) create plastic negative cosmetic packaging to help provide environmentally friendly alternatives to plastic packaging for the beauty industry. Currently, we offer an array of plastic free and plastic reduced packaging for our products. It is our goal to begin to create our own sustainable packaging to better suit the efficiency and use of our different products that will better compliment the daily routines of our customers without environmental harm.
Technology Forward Experiences
OMandP is all about fun and tech-inclusion! Thus, we will be launching some exciting mixed-reality (Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality) components into our marketing and advertising strategies in the near future. We believe in having a hand in advancing the skincare and beauty industries into innovative and ethical uses of technology moving forward.
