Oldvine Florals
We are a Black-Woman owned floral business in Los Angeles,CA who has been deeply impacted by the COVID-19 shut down in Southern California.
Project Description
Our mission is to help people stay connected to their loved ones at this time through no contact flower deliveries from Oldvine Florals.
Once the stay-home order was put in place, people were not permitted to gather together. We were no longer able to celebrate milestones in person or simply visit loved ones. At Oldvine Florals we decided to take this opportunity to use our floral company as a vessel to help people stay in touch and show their loved ones they are thinking of them.
The floral business in Los Angeles is a $500 million dollar per year industry. The coronavirus has hit this industry hard but we are committed to be here stronger and better when it's over.
We have had to scale down our employees to one floral designer and driver. With our popularity growing online, thanks to the BLM movement which has helped raise awareness about Oldvine Florals, we need funds to ramp up. We need to employ additional drivers and designers, in addition to buying supplies such as vases and vessels and, bring all of our outstanding bills from the effects of COVID current.
We are a small team at Oldvine Florals. My fiancé Brian Grimble and I work together on the day-to-day operations but, I alone am the buyer, designer, and part-time delivery driver *beep beep*. We have valued clients who support our business and are loyal customers to Oldvine Florals. We want to make our community proud and show them that we will all come out of this stronger!
