Nurse Focused ✧ Nurse Driven ✧ Nurse Created
A medical missions organization that is nursing centered.
We serve in the countries of South Africa and Guatemala twice a year helping our partners create sustainable solutions through various projects and providing ongoing essential needs that requires maintenance.
Challenges
The problems we face are keeping the programs running continuously when we are not physically there. Supporting the staff has its challenges. This is due to limited technology, scarce resources for mentorship and online training, not only to mention the depletion of supplies within 3months after we have departed.
Our solution is simple.
Creating a resource center that is a safe and secure space offering online support for staff and the children alike. Accountability is then maintained by continual mentoring and face to face contact between both parties (Nurses with Purpose directors and partners). Stock and inventory will also be maintained in this space which will provide inventory control and allow us to gauge items needed for more accuracy in budgets. Shipping containers will then be a more cost efficient solution on maintaining stock of essential items in the interim. This single building project that your contributions will help build, will be the answer to the multiple challenges we face.
Our Team ♕ Our Story
A vision was born after a homecoming to Johannesburg, South Africa. The idea of nurses upon nurses joining founding director, Elaine Alston, to volunteer in her native country was only a dream. During her volunteer time at a local hospital is what ignited this vision to become a reality. As nurses took interest, her solid, fearful team of women would be formulated through an organic mix of colleagues and likeminded individuals.

This initiative supports all parties involved. Not only is the nurse gaining invaluable experiences that will be applied to their career, but they witness the tremendous impact that their roles play. The library resource center, playground
