Neurodiverse Learning Retreat
Educational retreat for families and educators to help them stay current with research, strategies, and tools for neurodiverse children.
Project Description
We are helping families and educators learn more about the current practices, research and trends in neurodiversity. We are providing a family friendly learning retreat and conference that is relaxing and provides a multitude of accommodations for everyone to learn in their own way. We are providing assistance with how to develop sensory friendly environments, how to work with IEPs (Individual Education Plans), literacy instruction tips, innovative learning, art integration, and transitioning into the work force. We also are offering collaborative sessions for all of our participants to learn from each other and support one another on their neurodivergent journey. We are seeking funding to 1) help more families and educators attend and 2) to provide neurodiverse friendly hands-on activities that can be applied at home and in the classroom.
