Pueblo West and Pueblo are growing rapidly and with the addition of so many new families the daycares are struggling to keep up. My goal is to help by providing daycare from my home and if possible by hiring people to work in my home to help with the children.
The problem is there arent enough daycares in general but also not enough affordable daycares. CCAP runs out of available openings because not enough daycares offer it. For some families paying full price for daycare and still being able to pay bills is not possible. With my home being certified by the state I would be able to accept CCAP and help low income families.
I have my own business currently doing pet care and childcare. I have 19 years experience with children and child care. I'm also in school to obtain my associate's in Early Childhood Education. My husband handles the finances and accounting since that's his background. My website is the first page of results on Google for pueblo west daycares and my reviews are all positive. I also have many ties in the community and on social media.
The funds would go towards new toys and educational materials. We are buying a house and I also need to replace carpet, paint walls and update the backyard fencing. I would also buy playground equipment. I dont have access to loans or other financing since my credit score is low from my divorce four years ago.
My husband and children support this project as well as my parents and inlaws. My husband has a network of friends through his job that would help with the updates and repairs to ensure they are done correctly and at the best cost.
I really appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you so much and I hope to help many families in the future.
