THE MOODY'S MISSION

Moody's ice cream takes the world’s most feelgood food and helps you feel better for real with adaptogens, herbalist flavors and functional ingredients that turn up your body’s own superpowers.

THE PROBLEM

As someone who deals with anxiety and depression, ice cream is a treat that I reach for to help me feel better... at least for a few minutes. But even the high-end ice cream brands are full of candy and confectionary inclusions that spike your blood sugar and leave you feeling crashed and bloated. Plus, with mix-ins like cookie dough, brownie bites, and even French Fries, you can feel guilt and shame after eating because of the junk you're shoveling in your face - leaving you in a worse mood than before.

MARKET SIZE & OPPORTUNITY

The wellness industry is booming. Take Collagen for example - Vital Proteins alone is a monster business. Adaptogenic ingredients, like mushrooms, are mainstreaming. Four Sigmatic DOUBLED their sales to $61M in one year. And Natural Supplements are expected to be a $210B dollar industry in the US by 2025. We're taking what's working in wellness and making it delicious.

PRODUCT & SOLUTION

I wanted my sweet treat to do more to enhance my mood, so I started Moody's Ice Cream. We make ultra premium ice cream and infuse it with ingredients like adaptogens and botanicals to make a freaking delicious ice cream snack that's naturally good for your mood.

OUR NEED FOR FUNDING

We're seeking funding to gain distribution for Moody's Ice Cream.

Starting a food business is naturally capital intensive. Things like slotting fees, free-fills, and promotions all come out of the business's pocket and are required by grocery stores just to get your product on shelf. We need financial help to meet the grocery requirements, social media marketing, and sales/delivery support.

I'm Rachael, Founder and CEO, and I grew up in Idaho where I lived production agriculture and studied dairy farm management in college. I learned about dairy foods at Land O'Lakes - a Fortune 200 farmer owned co-op. I have a deep knowledge in consumer trends, perceptions, and how to keep dairy in their homes.

My business partner and Marketing Advisor, Julie, is a brand strategist and past CMO who's worked in the natural industry her entire career on everything from organic liquor to high-end cannabis.
