Project Description
- MISSION: Our mission is to serve multicultural individuals who are celebrating milestones dear to their heart and culture. No matter the background of the ones we serve, it is our desire to highlight the cultural identities of all families through authentic celebrations.
- DATA: According to the Census Bureau, as of 2018, Maryland has 49.5% of the population that is non-white and/or Hispanic/Latino with a foreign born percentage of 15.1%.
- NEED/PROBLEM SOLVING: Multicultural individuals, women in particular who values their origins, respect culture, dreams of event decor and ambiance/productions that will incorporate their aesthetic and give their event personality are underserved. They grew up in an environment where celebrations were a must and want to pass on those traditions. That's where Kaki Camara Weddings & Events steps in to provide:
- CUSTOMIZED EVENT DECOR + DESIGN. We offer event decorations and design ideas that are tailored to the client personal aesthetic.
- CULTURAL + TRADITIONAL INFUSION. We integrate personalized touches that make the celebration unique to the client background.
- CUSTOMIZED EXPERIENCES. We produce interactions and/or engagements
that resonate deeply with each client on a personal level. - MODERN EVENT DECOR MEETS CULTURAL TRADITIONS.We combine modern event design and decor with elements of our client culture. Our client heritage is the foundation of our modern designs.
- RESEARCH + SOURCING. We carefully study cultures and find elements that are specific to the client culture to ensure the integrity of the celebration stays in tact.

- FUNDING CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVES: Producing authentic, unique and culturally oriented modern celebrations demands careful research, sourcing, planning, training and materials. The funds from the campaign will help Kaki Camara Weddings & Events acquire the necessary training and base materials needed to make each celebration unique.
- TEAM: Kaki Camara Weddings & Events is a team of one but work with exceptional vendors and contractors to make our clients celebrations One of the kind!

- We are raising money to fund training and material acquisitions necessary to the productions of authentic, unique and culturally oriented modern celebrations for multicultural individuals living in the US, women in particular.

- Are you just in the US?
- For now, we are located in the US but are available to travel worldwide and targeting countries like Cote d’Ivoire, Mali etc…
- Will I receive a tax credit for monetary contributions or purchasing campaign rewards?
- No, tax credits will not be provided.
- When will my reward be delivered?
- All rewards will be provided on a need to basis because they will be unique to each backer.
- Is Kaki Camara Weddings & Events a nonprofit organization?
- No, we are an LLC, but although we are not a registered non-profit, we always give back to local initiatives around the world, and work small female-owned companies.
