Do you remember the worst MISTAKE you made as a child? How did you feel? How did the adults around you reacted?
We empower kids to become confident adults, by teaching them to learn from mistakes. We do it through the power of play, literature and media.
Too many children avoid new adventures and opportunities, because they are afraid to fail and make mistakes.
There are more than 73 million children in the USA. Imagine all the creativity and innovation they could come up with, if they wouldn’t be ashamed to make mistake! There are over 33 million families with kids in the USA, and every single one of them could benefit from MISTAKE CLUB.
We give children and the adults in their lives the tools to approach mistakes as valuable learning opportunities. Our uneven, mismatched, adorable monster is the perfect friend to remind kids that it’s ok to make mistakes. We offer story books and creativity books, games, animated content, and other fun activities to complete the experience and spread the message that mistakes are great learning opportunities.
Parents, caretakers and educators can also find resources in our mistake Club platform, like blogs, literature, activities, lesson plans, professional articles, etc; to understand and re-introduce mistakes in their lives, too.
We are two bicultural and bilingual moms who experience first-hand the struggles our children have with failure, imperfection and mistakes. Our educational backgrounds include marketing, art, early childhood education, Graphic & Web design, business management, TV production and journalism.
We are very proud of the work we have so far, but we want to do a lot more. that's the reason we are doing this crowdfunding campaign.
By donating here, you will help us bring our dream team on board, producing animated content, manufacturing dolls, printing picture books and creativity books, expanding our Mistake of The Month series and conducting essential research for our long-term vision.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about Mistake. We truly appreciate your support.

OUR STORY
Karen, the inspiration of Mistake Club
When 10YO Karen was erasing frantically on her paper sheet, co-founder Mayra (Karen's mom) asked her what was going on. Her face blushed and, covering her drawing she said "nothing, just a silly mistake". Mayra sensed an opportunity to open Karen's horizons to owning and appreciating mistakes as her best teachers, so she created the doll Mistake and left it at her bedroom door in the morning with the following note:
Dear Karen,
My name is Mistake and I just happen. Nobody plans on me, nobody is expecting me with joy. Look at me: one leg is different than the other, I have patches of fabric all over my body and my colors don't even match! But do you know what? I am actually one of your best friends! Through me, you will learn a lot of lessons, discover new abilities, try new ways and get to know yourself a little bit more. Own me with pride, because making mistakes means that you actually dared to do something.”
Love,
Mistake
Karen was so excited she took Mistake to school, her teacher and many of her classmates got excited about it and ordered theirs. It became the classroom mascot!
Then co-founder Hagit met it and came up with the concept of education and learning experiences that we are today. It fills our hearts with joy to know that Mistake has not only become Keren's best friend even now that she's in middle school, but that it has impacted so many lives in such a short amout of time. We are spreading the philosophy of a positive approach to making mistakes, who knows, maybe we can even save lives.
