1. What is Mends By Mendy?
Mends By Mendy is a custom sewing and alteration business that focuses on upcycling, repairing, and altering clothes. I offer a range of services, from basic alterations to creative upcycled projects, all tailored to your needs.
2. How will the funds raised be used?
The funds will help cover the cost of essential tools, materials, marketing, and establishing Mends By Mendy as a registered business (LLC). Here's the breakdown:
- $500 for tools and marketing
- $500 for the business license (LLC)
- Any additional funds raised will go toward growing the business and enhancing services!
3. When will I receive my rewards?
The estimated delivery times for each reward vary, but most rewards will be shipped between November 2024 and January 2025. Please refer to the delivery estimates for each tier for more details.
4. What is upcycled fashion?
Upcycled fashion involves taking old or discarded garments and creatively transforming them into new, wearable pieces. It’s eco-friendly, reduces waste, and gives clothing a fresh new life! I use upcycling techniques in many of my custom pieces.
5. Do you offer shipping for the rewards?
Yes! I am able to ship physical rewards within the United States. Digital rewards like consultations and video shout-outs can be given instantly!
6. Can I request a specific custom alteration or upcycled item?
For backers at the Mendy’s VIP level or higher, I offer personal consultations to discuss your specific custom requests. We can work together to transform a piece of clothing or create something entirely new just for you!
7. What happens if you don’t reach the funding goal?
If I don’t reach my funding goal, I will still use the amount raised to support Mends By Mendy. However, hitting the goal will allow me to fully realize my business plan, acquire all necessary tools, and launch more robust services.
8. How do I know you’ll deliver the rewards on time?
I have 20 years of sewing experience and a clear plan in place to meet my deadlines. While unforeseen circumstances can always arise, I’m committed to staying transparent with my backers and communicating any updates along the way.
9. What if I want to order custom work after the campaign?
I’d love to work with you again! Once the campaign is over and Mends By Mendy is fully launched, I’ll be accepting custom orders. You can reach out via my email, website, or social media for inquiries and future services.
10. Can I change my reward tier or pledge amount after I’ve pledged?
Yes! On most crowdfunding platforms, you can adjust your pledge or choose a different reward tier until the campaign ends on November 17, 2024.
