MAGIC SKILL BUS

• Magic Skill Bus will focus on equipping the communities hardest hit by generational poverty, incarceration and gun violence. We achieve self-sufficiency by providing access to hands-on skills that support healing, wellness, employment, education, training, and support services to succeed in the labor market. 
• The Magic Skill Bus will unlock youths' unique entrepreneurship creativity, gain a greater understanding of more hands-on skills, improve their quality of life, and dare to prepare for promising futures. Through our program we are able to assist at-risk youth in making healthy, productive transitions into adulthood, by providing them with tools to find jobs that will lead to lifetime careers and take advantage of opportunities to pursue their own business ventures.

• Our company focuses on helping  community job seekers access employment, education, training, and support services to succeed in the labor market. Our target population for our business is East Brooklyn residents who are living at or below 130% of the federal poverty level.  (zip codes 11207, 11208, - 11212 and 11233) Demographics include High school students, GED Students, formerly Incarcerated, and individuals living in shelters. Life skills is primarily a group therapy-oriented “home economics” course. In addition to the group counseling which is at the core of the program, the activities done by the groups will focus on foundational things such as:
• Sewing
• Cooking
• Technology
• Advocacy
• Communication Skills
• Parenting and child care
• and as a fun elective, basic interior design/pottery/painting

The money raised can support the purchase of our first BUS!! TheMagic Skill bus will create programs to build capacity and leadership among people in New York communities. We will build internship programs for youths that focus on hands-on life skills and job skills to achieve economic independence. Also help provide recreational services for Arts and Culture Activities in New York, with resources that focus on innovation and sustainability. Lastly, this  can help with educating New Yorkers how they can help Youths achieve self-sufficiency.
