LAMIK Beauty is natural organic color cosmetic for women of color. As a brick and mortar store in Houston, we touched every woman who came with a need. We learned her, we love her. In 2018, our founder Kim Roxie felt the pull to offer LAMIK Beauty to women across the globe. So she closed the store to launch a high growth startup business which is LAMIK Beauty 2.0.

Our Founder, Kim Roxie, began her career searching for products for women of color. When she couldn’t find them, she made them. As she traveled, she met more and more women searching for clean products just for them, with colors and textures that compliment a wide array of skin tones.

For the past 18 months, we have prepared for this. Kim has done an immense amount of work with the goal of building the company and fundraising.

Two disappointing things she has learned as a female founder of a beauty tech-enabled startup raising funding:
- 0.002% of black women get venture funding for their startups.
- Most accredited investors I've been introduced to are men who underestimate me and you.

Most of the funds from this campaign will go toward bringing LAMIK Beauty 2.0 to life. Our team is also privately raising investment from angel investors and small firms to grow what we're building at a faster scale.
