The CEO of LaKurva boutique, Ms. Alicia Pugh, understands the daily obstacles of finding trendy plus size clothing as being a curvy woman herself, this enables her to be passionate about the lack of plus size consideration in the fashion industry. After working in the financial industry for over 10 years, Ms. Pugh always having a desire for fashion makes the ultimate decision to fill one of many holes in the fashion industry. An African –American woman with a heart for encouraging and empowering all women to merge all cultures though a shared appreciation for style. With prayer and a dream it all started in 2019, LaKurva Boutique opened its doors in Dillon, SC.
The market size, measured by revenue, of the Clothing Boutiques industry is $17.9bn in 2020. More than half of US women ageing 18-65 wear a size 14 or higher according to statistics by Walmart, but for years, brands, fashion designers, and retailers have failed to offer fashionable plus-size styles. We have been limited long enough to oversized tops, dresses, and stretchy leggings, relying on on specialty stores like Lane Bryant and Catherine's to find variety and innovative clothes. Here at LaKurva we want to fill one of the many holes in the fashion industry one city at a time. Starting with our city Dillon, SC, small town with enormous opportunity to become local storefront plus size only boutique.
LaKurva offers full figured clothing ranging from sizes XL-4XL. Locally, We bring the runway to Dillon, SC with clothing options for all occasions, giving our plus size women the options to wear trendy and fashionable clothing. The purpose for seeking funding is to assist with Q4 inventory, marketing, storage equipment and advertisement, as so bring the process of purchasing or leasing a retail space.
My team consist of only one employee, which is myself. I am the owner with many hats! Our future objectives are to bring aboard at least one associate and photographer to assist with the business operations.

ALL ORDERS WILL REQUIRE A SIGNATURE AT TIME OF DELIVERY
To ensure that your package is properly delivered and you receive shipment within the time frame we advertise, please make sure your address is fully entered and correct. Use correct abbreviations and have spaces inserted properly, we do not take responsibility for the incorrect information. If the package is returned non-deliverable we will issue a store credit for the net price of your item(s) minus the shipping charge.
Priority and Free Shipping is 5 to 7 Business Days
If within the continental US, your order should be received within 5 to 7 business days. Once your order has left our store, we will then send out an email to you with your tracking info. Please allow 24 hours after the item has left, to track your package online with USPS.
Express Shipping time-frame is 1 to 2 business days
If your order is placed Tuesday – Friday by 12 PM EST, your order will be shipped the same day. You can expect to receive your item the next day; unless you live in a 2- day area Express Mail Area. (Contact your local post office to check your area). Shipping and Handling Fees vary for Express Orders; please utilize the shipping calculator for the exact amount.
In Store Pick-up
If you are in the local Dillon, SC, you are able to shop online and pick up your items at our location. Typically, your order will be ready for pick-up at our location within an hour. Customers here visiting and not using a 295 billing address will not have this option available.
