Fantastic news! I got the keys to my new shop on Dec. 1, and I'm experiencing a very warm welcome from my neighbors and fellow small business owners in the Sixth Avenue Business District and Tacoma at large.
I'm just shy of the 50% mark on my crowdfunding campaign, counting ALL sources of contributions. Thank you for embracing the KoKo concept and for believing in its vibrant impact!
With just two weeks left in the campaign, I'm making THREE wishes:

This unique kombucha tea line began as a home kitchen science project. Seeking an alternative to sugary sodas and alcoholic beverages, founder Julie Davidson started making her own decaf black tea with fresh-pressed juice ingredients. Fueled by her quest for greater vitality and her passion for creating community, Julie will establish a gathering place in Tacoma, WA.

A growing number of customers are seeking healthier alternatives to sugary sodas, high-octane energy drinks and alcoholic beverages typically served in cafes, restaurants, bars and taprooms.
KoKo’s handcrafted small batch kombucha tea, novel non-alcoholic refreshments, organic juices and other selections create an exciting, tasty and beneficial beverage experience to enjoy via doorstep delivery, as “grab and go,” or in a welcoming community space.

- What is Kombucha anyway?
- Kombucha is tea that is fermented naturally with a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY). Its health properties include ample amounts of probiotics associated with gut health and immunity boosting.
- Will KoKo continue its door delivery service?
- YES! We look forward to continuing to provide you with personalized, door delivery service of Komadre Kombucha tea and accompaniments.
- How will my financial contribution be utilized?
- Your generous support will fund necessary equipment purchases and upgrades, renovation of KoKo's new storefront and brew space, marketing and other professional services, and all the other startup costs associated with this exciting venture.
- Has KoKo already raised any funds?
- YES! KoKo has successfully raised funds in the form of a federal Covid-19 Relief Loan, some of which will be "forgivable." More funding is needed to ensure KoKo's financial sustainability in the critical first years of our expansion.

- I'm out of region - out of state. How can I try KoKo?
- We would love to have you visit us in person to try a pour of Komadre Kombucha. Circumstances being as they are, we are investigating the possibility of one day offering shipping for our products. Stay tuned, and enjoy all of the other incentives we are offering our backers.
