I am the creator and host of The Canna Mom Show, a podcast talking about, caring for and giving voice to women in the the emerging cannabis industry. We are now in our third season and are crowdfunding so we can continue on our mission to enhance the impact women have as business professionals, health care providers, policy advocates, caregivers and moms by sharing and preserving their stories of love, kindness, wisdom and hope.
We are reaching women like myself who were born during cannabis prohibition, who know the least about cannabis but can use it the most of health and wellness. The Canna Mom Show also connects with women working in the cannabis industry who are looking for inspiration and collaboration.
The Canna Mom Show is now available everywhere you listen to your favorite podcasts as well as on our website, www.TheCannaMomShow.com.
If you believe in our mission and want to hear more stories about the women building this emerging industry this is your chance to support The Canna Mom Show through the Keep The Canna Mom Conversation Going campaign. With your support The Canna Mom Show will continue to share the stories of the women building this new industry so that together we can crush the stigma around cannabis and caregivers.
Bong for Mom Quilt by Joyce 2019
Joyce created The Canna Mom Show in 2019 to speak with mothers to understand how they were speaking with their children about cannabis in this time of legalization, and learned that canna moms carry a heavy burden of stigmatization. Joyce set out to crush that stigma by encouraging friends who were traditionally successful and also regular cannabis consumers to share their stories on the podcast. The Canna Mom Show is harnessing the power of true stories of the real women building this industry which is the best way we are going to crush the stigma around cannabis and caregivers for good.
Joyce and her mom, Debby Gerber, in podcast studio March 2020
In 2020 The Canna Mom Show joined Pod617-The Boston Podcast Network. This photo was taken on the last day Joyce recorded in studio. As the world shut down, Joyce was able to setup a podcast studio in her home and Pod617 owner, David Yas, was able to produce by Zoom. As a team they were able to record and produce fifty shows in Season 1. Joyce will have recorded over 115 episodes by the end of Season 3 with over 16,000 downloads.
The Technicolor Cannabis Quilt 2021
In 2021 Joyce designed and created the Women of the Amazing Technicolor Cannabis quilt to honor the women who shared their stories with her. The quilt is designed with multiple cannabis themed fabrics in a rainbow of colors surrounded by the black and white images of Season 1 and Season 2 The Canna Mom Show guests. The quilt is the inspiration for the beautiful scarf created as a reward for this crowdfunding campaign.
