Project Description
We at JURENKA Organic Body Care are devoted to create pure and natural skin care products especially developed for use during and after cancer treatment.
All our products are free from parabens, silicone, gmo, allergens, hormones or syntetics.
All ingredients are 100% natural, ECOCERT/COSMOS-certified and as organic as possible.
We are located in Denmark, but we feel no limitation by borders.
WE LOVE TO HELP
Our product line help regenerate the dry and sensitive skin most people experience because of chemo and radiation and the JURENKA Organic Body Care line helps giving back the natural moisture balance, and giving a soft and nourished feel.

WHY FUNDING?
We are seeking funding to increase the brand awareness of our small new started business, who needs a more estabilished position in the market.
THE FUNDING GOES TO
We will spend the funding on Influencer Marketing campaigns, primarily on Instagram and on advertising in relevant platforms.
MEET THE TEAM
I, Gabrielle, am the founder of JURENKA Organic Body Care, and my daughter, Alexandra, is my marketing coordinator, and together we are running the business and creating new products.
THE FOUNDERS SHORT STORY
Nearly 4 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. During my treatment I received chemo and radiation treatment and antibody injections. Those treatments made my skin become so sensitive, dry and very different than before. I had a hard time finding skin care products that would help me and my skin while also having natural and organic ingredients in mind. I felt that my body had to struggle with much too much chemicals anyway, so I wanted to boost my skin with pure products.
At the end of my recovery I decided to look into creating my own products - for people in the same situation as I had been. I wanted to create products that would regenerate the moisture balance in the skin, make the skin more elastic and hopefully help to achieve the skin one once had before the treatments, while also being natural and organic produced. For nearly two years I have now been working on this project - and what a journey!
AROUND THE PRODUCTS
As my company is still very new I have only created very few products yet, but I am blessed with a very competent formular developer, who deeply understands my passion for natural, organic and sustainable products and the processing plant is a small factory, which allows us to produce in small batches - having fresh products in mind. The packaging is of dark Miron glass, that naturally preserves the products from daylight and prolongs the shelf life.
Untill now I have been self-funded, but realise that help is needed, if we want to get awareness of our wonderful idea.

When will I receive my reward?

What does JURENKA stand for?
In honour of my German/Czech grandmother, who taught me a lot about a holistic and natural lifestyle, I decided to name my company name after her – her maiden name was Anna Jurenka.
What are the key ingredients in your products?
Some of the key ingredients are:
Cacao butter - Shea butter - Berry wax - Avocado oil - Cucumber olie - Rosehip oil - Magnolia bark extract - Hyaluronic acid.
What good does the ingredients do for my skin?
The skin care line adds moisture and live to the skin with natural and active ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerine and betain. They stimulate the skins own ability to generate a normal balance and barrier.
Lanolin is one of the raw materials, that on cell level is similar to the skins own fats barrier, and numerous tests have shown that a small quantity of lanolin is one of the best natural raw materials to help the skin maintaining an optimal moisture and flexibility.
Magnolia bark extract is a very effective antioxidant that assists the skins own ability to resist external stress factors like UV radiation. The decomposition of collagen is increased by UV radiation and many other factors the skin is exposed to during the day. Collagen is a protein responsible for the structure, the strength and the flexibility of the skin. Magnolia bark extract helps reducing the decomposition of collagen and increases significantly the skins ability to hold on to moisture and flexibility.
Natural fatty acids from cocoa butter, shea butter, berry wax, avocado oil, cucumber oil and rose hip oil completes the formulas. They help keeping the skin moist, elastic, soft and flexible and fine lines are smoothened and the skin both feels and looks younger.
