IVY Kitchen

This campaign will aid IVY in keeping it's doors and be a pillar to the community as it was prior to the Covid-19 Pandemic. 

IVY strives to connect the Detroit community to a dining experience in the same fashion as ingredients are connected to great food. Located at 9215 East Jefferson in Detroit, IVY is the first of its kind in Detroit in over three decades. IVY has established a clean, fresh, and modern take on American-Fusion cuisine described as “Eclectic Flare”.  IVY offers fresh locally sourced meats, poultry, fish and vegetable served from “farm” to table with vegetarian friendly options to accommodate most dietary needs and a full-service bar. The restaurant does not only satisfy its patrons’ tastes, but also support healthy eating within an inviting comfortable setting on the boarder of Downtown Detroit.

Detroit native, entrepreneur, proprietor, and restaurateur, Nya Marshall is looking to reopen and have a new outlook on American-Fusion cuisine in the city of Detroit through her startup endeavor, IVY Kitchen. Following the COVID-19 crisis IVY had to close its doors and has been working to serve the community at large by partnering with many nonprofits to Feed the Frontline, the homeless and those in need.  As a result the City of Detroit acknowledged her  efforts and made her a Detroit Hero.  IVY Kitchen East Jefferson building started as a dilapidated building covered in ivy leaves that had been inactive for over 30 years. The ivy leaves which once covered the building inspired Marshall to focus the restaurant towards the nature of healing properties of ivy leaves, thus giving birth to the name IVY. From her initial sketches to now reality, Nya has willed her vision of IVY into both vision and mission of offering clean, healthy food to Detroit residents and its guests.  Through this campaign we will be able to donate, share and repost to support IVY. The funding raised will be used to help keep IVY's doors open.
