Humanity is a magazine centered around the human experience. Unlike other magazines that speak to comparison and advertising- telling you how you should be or could be, Humanity aims to celebrate the stories we are already living instead of trying to change them.
Humanity is about telling stories and speaking to what it’s like to be human. Its purpose is to continue to better understand the way we interact with one another and how we live through images and writing. Each issue focuses on on a larger theme or word and explores how that can help us to continue to understand each other and maybe even learn something.
It is no secret that our world and people are easily divided. Let’s take the time to slow down and listen and share the meaning of our story.
The goal of the magazine is to have quarterly issues and continue to bring in creative minds and story tellers to push the magazine forward. In supporting Humanity magazine, you will help bring this specific issue to print and continue to develop further issues.
Currently you can view the first half of Issue No. 4 digitally. Go to bethehum.com to start reading. The rest of the issue will be released in its entirety upon completion of the funding campaign.
This project started a few years ago as something a little bit different and less concrete. It has developed into a magazine that has so much potential! I am doing most of this on my own and now need your help to bring in others to join me and take the magazine to the next level.
Please consider joining me in continuing this conversation around the human experience.
The definition of hum is a low continuous noise. I want to be a voice that contributes to our connection and celebration of our shared title as human. The magazine is a vessel, let’s be that continuous noise.

The Campaign FAQs
Is the magazine just about women?
No! This particular issue happens to feature 9 awesome women but each issue is focused around a theme and this one just happened to play out and lend itself to an all female cast.
When did the magazine start?
Technically 2016, but Spring 2017 kicked off the first official issue around the theme "Context". You can read it and Issue No.3 + the first part of Issue No.4 digitally at bethehum.com.
When did the magazine start?
Yes! If you have an idea for an issue or what to get involved with design or writing or photography, please contact me.
Each issue is different!
The creation of the content is based of the theme or word chosen. From there, the layout, content, writings, photoshoots, all the visuals and words are planned out to best fit into the theme and tell stories.
For Issue 4 particularly, a call was put out for the models and contributors who wanted write and be apart of the photoshoot and the whole process! I personally only knew one of the 9 women featured in the issue. Pretty neat.

At the $25 price point you are getting the most I have to offer. Of course, you will get the newest issue of the magazine. In addition to that you will receive a Humanity sticker and postcards.
In the second half of the magazine that will be released upon completion of the funding campaign, there is a feature titled "because of you..." There are people in our lives that "because of them" we are stronger or better people or have learned something new of ourselves. You should tell those people about the impact they have made on you! So send them a postcard and don't let the day go by without reaching out to them.

If you give more than the $25 reward you will of course receive all the goods of the $25 level. If you choose to give more, I commend and thank you for your generosity and welcome you into The Wildly Generous Club.
