HumanFit was born out of owner Hannah Storey's frustration with the limited choices in fitness wear. She happens to prefer wearing more masculine clothing in the gym, but since it is not cut for her size or shape, she found it got in the way of her workout. In order to not limit her functionality, she was forced to wear more form fitting clothing made for women. Because she works out first thing every day, she would start each day frustrated. She started to notice others who had the same frustration and even saw athletes and Instagram influencers complain about this same issue. Instead of just accepting this status quo, Hannah decided to do something about it. She has created fitness performance wear that does not subscribe to binary standards. HumanFit offers exquisite, yet function designs for all gender preferences and body types. The inclusive philosophy of the company allows it to not only reach consumers looking for a high-quality sustainable product, but those who may prefer styles and cuts that do not fit binary standards. Not only is Hannah innovating cuts and shapes of clothing, she is doing it sustainably. All pieces are made entirely in the United States using sustainable materials and shipped in low-waste packaging. The company is a true reflection of Hannah's commitment to ethical, social and environmental sustainability.
Problem: Society is becoming more aware of those who choose to wear gender neutral clothing, but fitness clothing designs don't go far enough to meet the needs of the variety of style preferences that exist.
Solution: HumanFit LLC is an e-commerce fitness wear site offering beautiful, yet functional designs for all gender preferences and body types. The clothing is wholly made in the United States using sustainable materials and fabrics.
